| Will's Votes (and commentary of course ... in no particular order)
Prez - Obama/Biden
YES ON 1A - Poorly written, but the only high speed rail measure we're gonna see this lifetime. Costs will only get higher.
YES ON 2 - We should all be vegetarians anyway. Until then, let foghorn stretch. Our food costs will go up though ...
YES ON 3 - Bonds are not going to save us considering our f*'ed up economy, but I figure until our tax structure is fixed (Obama?) we'll have to bond for any service we need over the next few years ...
NO ON 4 - Get out of women's bodies, republicans! PLEASE!! (with a Rihanna Take a Bow inflection, thank you lol ...)
YES ON 5 - I generally never agree with Feinstein on crime. One of my good friends helped write a ballot argument for Prop 5 (Dan Macallair) and I trust him when it comes to crime prevention.
NO ON 6 - I didn't really read this one (or 9 either). The money does NOT go toward rehabilitation or prevention like Prop 5. So NO!
NO ON 7 - Even environmentalists are against this clean energy scam.
NO ON 8 - We want Willy here to marry, no?! STOP PROP HATE (H8) -- NO ON 8!
NO ON 9 - SEE NO ON 6.
YES ON 10 - Willy needs a new PRIUS! =p
NO ON 11 - Too many conservatives behind this redistricting plan. It seems forced. And I don't like things that Arnie supports generally. Am I wrong? If so sorry, I early voted.
Locally (which is LA for me guys) ...
Yes on all the lettered initiatives in the City of Los Angeles and YES ON R. These are bond campaigns for community colleges, gang prevention/jobs, and R = more money for transit. Until I get my new Prius that's my ride! Yes on R! =p
San Francisco ... I'll put something up soon. I got a lot of friends running races and campaigns. But wanted to put something up for my locals in LA voting early. This has been an exciting election season. Hope you register to vote for the next one if for some reason you're left out of all the action now.
| god i've been trying to do this entry for like 3 weeks now ...
and what the hell are xanga credits?! why do i have an email box there now? and should i finally install bloggin software on my website domain mikewong gave me like years ago?!
ok i digress...
I voted this past Saturday in Norwalk, where LA voters early vote for the most part. It was very encouraging. Very diverse line of folks awaiting entry to the Recorder-Registrar's office. Obama folks were phonebanking New Mexico encouraging folks there to early vote. I called 52 voters there myself. Sadly, I walked past a Yes on 8 visibility rally at the corner of Norwalk Boulevard and Imperial Highway, where I caught the bus home. That 62 bus had the craziest woman talking to herself so loudly I actually had to shout at her to snap her out of it. The riders thanked me. I'm glad no one knew my employer ... shhh!!!
again i digress ... anyone who has known me over the years knows ... A-D-H ...
OK OK. It's important to tell you all how I voted because maybe you just want a crib sheet for the ballot box. This is also my opportunity to remind you all to vote early in order to ensure that you're not stuck in a line on Election Day. God forbid our votes get disenfranchised that day. So yeah, please vote EARLY (... vote often too! just kidding!)
WILL's Crib Sheet will be ... in my next post.
